For Many Marc Bolan Fans this is the `Boley Grail` a John`s Children single slated for release in June 1967 but withdrawn prior to that date. Bolan penned the song, a 60`s freak out with Bolan on Vocals. Reportedly upset at the final mix Bolan said he quit the group in disgust. Around 25 copies were given as freebies at the bands gigs so very few come up for sale with one reaching 6000 British Pounds recently at auction. On Track records cat no 604005

John's Children were a 1960s Pop/ArtRock rock band from Leatherhead, England that briefly featured future T.Rex Frontman Marc Bolan. John's Children were known for their outrageous live performances and were booted off a tour with The Who in Germany in 1967 when they upstaged the headliners. John's Children were active for less than two years and were not very successful commercially, having released six singles and one album. But they had a big influence on Glam Rock. In retrospect the band has been praised for the impact they had, and their singles have become amongst the most sought-after British 1960`s rock collectables.

Lyrics
Petals and flowers...
Petals and flowers...
Petals and flowers...

In the park, getting dark, eating the heat
There's an eye in the sky, melting your feet
You see a chick, who starts to nick the petals and flowers
She starts to joke and then provoke the Dance of the Hours

It's all down to a midsummer night's scene
It's all down to a Shakespearian dream

In her face there's a place disfigured with love
Her hands are white, like the night encased in a glove
She s tarts to swing and watches you nick petals and flowers
She starts to joke and then evokes the Dance of the Hours

It's all down to a midsummer night's scene
It's all down to a Shakespearian dream
