Jimi Hendrix (Funkaliscious Funk Blues) By Texas Guitarist Adam Perez Rodriguez, Recorded from a late night jam session in the summer of 2012. Inspired, after hearing Hendrix and Curtis knight recordings from Jimi's earlier career. A Texas Blues guitarist tribute to the great musical legacy of the late great JIMI HENDRIX ,Buddy Guy and Freddie King. Currently from Atascosa County Texas and originally from San Antonio Tx . This original Texas blues guitarist was born and raised and learned his chops blocks from one of two exact spots attributed as the birthplace of modern day Blues and Rock n Roll, where the Late great Robert Johnson in a room @ the Gunther Hotel , recorded such classics as crossroads etc... by Alan Lomax for the Library of congress. From the bedrock of the blues, Texas Guitarist Adam P. Rodriguez has drawn from such Influences , such as Jimi Hendrix ,Jeff Beck,Clapton,Buddy Guy,Hubert Sumlin,BB King, Albert King,Freddie King, Elmore James,Son house and Robert Johnson.Noted master Slide guitarist and Blues Pianist , Adam P. Rodriguez is known for his unique style of funk blues , southern rock, and low down dirty Blues as well as an assortment of modern day acoustic and electric soul arrangements of the likes of Santana. Known for his trademark (thumb n index finger picking technique) picked up from Slide Blues greats like Elmore James , and Hound Dog Taylor, Adam's style is reminiscent of the late great Blues fathers, with a unique tone of the likes of Freddie King. Adam's inspiration draws from almost every genre and instrument.
