Very excited about this song and the beautiful story of love that it tells. The song is based on the life of Hazel and Bruce Dorman, two people who had a very special love. They were married for 65 years before Bruce passed away, and Hazel still has so much love in her eyes when she speaks of him. One night at supper with Randy (my co-writer), who is also her son, and Randy's wife Ann, Mama Bear (as we call her!) was telling us how great life she had with Papa Bear (Bruce). She said, "We were married for 65 years, and it just wasn't enough." That line stuck with me, and when Randy and I were writing the next day, I said, "We need to write your Mom and Dad's love story. It's so beautiful. But what are their names? I only know them as Mama Bear and Papa Bear." Randy told me their names were Hazel and Bruce, and that's how the song got started.

Mama Bear cries every times she listens to it, but it is truly an honor to capture their love in this song. We hope you enjoy it!
