DESCRIPTION:
A little vignette that I did with videographer, John Broxton. I started this piece in Feb. of 2008 when I first visited Portland, OR. The winds of change were blowing me away from my home of 6 years, Boston, and the East Coast where I had lived all of my life. This piece is, in part, an ode to impermanence. As such, it makes sense that it started out as a guitar piece, then a vocal piece, then a poem, then a painting, then a painting/guitar/vocal piece....
"Over silence worlds are spoken
Spinning round, these sounds so sweetly
Under crawling tides the moon wakes
Bravely seeking forward motion
Always, all ways"
