I am a guitarist and composer living in Portland, OR, where I have been performing in a large variety of projects for the past 3 1/2 years. I play americana-jazz with the Sam Howard Band, groove-dance music with Commotion, string-powered indie rock with Echo Helstrom, funky soul-jazz with Trio Subtonic, and Afro Peruvian/Brazilian/Latin Jazz as a solo, duo or trio on my nylon string guitar. I have also recorded two albums under my own name, and play fretless and microtonal guitars.

At seventeen, I recieved a scholarship to, and began attending Berklee College of Music where I was a performance major. I was able to study with Mick Goodrick, Joe Lovono, Jon Damian, Dave Fiuczysnki, Dave Tronzo, and Garrison Fewell. As I grew as a musician, I also grew as a listener and began persuing many different kinds of music. I began listening to a wider selection of more 'worldly' musics such as classical Indian, bulgarian choir, Bartok, and Ligeti, as well as microtonalists Joe Maneri, Ezra Sims and Harry Partch. When I started studying fretless guitar with Dave Fiucsynski, I became a devoted student of microtonal music and tuning sytems alternative to our 12 tone equal tempered system. This has led me deep into the world of harmonic structure as expressed in the Pythagorean ratio system and, hand in hand with Phi (the Golden Ratio, 1.618) is the foundation of Nature's many creations.

In the fall of 2005, I moved to Portland, OR and after four years I am heading back South to Austin this fall.
