PUBLISHED:  Nov 26, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Portland, Maine based mobile recording company Satronen Sound took JoeCo Blackbox recorders on the road to capture a series of shows on the "Gentlemen of the Road" tour, headlined by Mumford & Sons. Recorded audio from the shows has been featured on a sold-out limited edition vinyl record and a forthcoming digital audio compilation. Recording Engineer Pete Nenortas talks about his mobile recording set-up in this video.

On September 24th, 2012 Mumford and Sons released a 500 limited-edition, hand-numbered 7″ vinyl record that included a live version of "I Will Wait," their current single from their latest CD "Babel," recorded at the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Portland by Satronen Sound using the Joe Co Blackbox recorder. This record sold out in pre-order from the Mumford & Sons website, and is now out of print.

For those that missed the opportunity to purchase this rare recording, there is currently a "Gentlemen of the Road" live recording digital download compilation in the works for future release. Concert goers will obtain the compilation online by using the bar code on their ticket stub to access a download link made available from the GOTR Festival's website. This recording will feature tracks recorded by Satronen Sound from both the Portland, ME and Bristol, VA/TN stops.
