Black Mustang,
Some believe that Rock has had its day, but Black Mustang removes all doubt .
Growing up on the depth of their parents LP collection, Black Mustang draw from a diverse range of influences - but are not limited to - the hard rock outfits of the "swinging sixties" like MC5 & the Stooges, to the heavier sounds of Black Sabbath, AC/DC & Led Zeppelin. Combining the power & intensity of the early 90's mixed with their own slice of attitude & DIY approach.
Black Mustang's sound has developed the raw power and swagger of their many influences to produce a raw but refined sound.
Having just locked in their newest member in early 2010, Black Mustang are very excited with the current lineup, writing from the same page & embarking on what is set to be frantic 2010.
Black Mustang consist of
Starry - Vocals/ Guitar
Reddy - Guitar / Vocals
Joey -Drums / Vocals
Dan - Bass / Vocals
With respect to Black Mustang audiences, they can expect more of the same energy & passion to which Black Mustang have made their name, adding a sometimes darker edge to their uncompromising hard rock.
The next album, currently in preproduction, is Black Mustang at its creative and instinctive best, with a mish mash of retro musings inspired by shared experiences of a band dedicating their lives to R&R rebellion.
The follow-up to Black Mustang's "Between the Devil the Deep Blue Sea" is being recorded at various studios with Jeff Lovejoy, and is set for release late 2010 on Plus One Records through Shock.

BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEAD BLUE SEA - Reviews
CD Baby (US) - Editors Album Rock Of The Month
"There's an underlying momentum that eventually leads to brash explosions, and the force behind the inevitable crash is a worthwhile payoff. Both relentless and surprisingly urbane, the throttling charge of the chaotic guitars is held in check by spot-on backing vocals, steady-hurtling beats, and lyrics."
5/5 stars
Time Off Magazine
"Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea is a blistering affair that displays loud and proud all the things that are so damn good about Black Mustang; big walls of guitar, chaotically annihilating drums and gloriously infectious, air-fisting anthems"
4/5 stars
Tsuanami Magazine
"Every time a great album comes out of Brisbane it swells my heart with pride. Being a big advocator of the amazing talent we have sitting right here in our capital city, I can joyfully say Black Mustang have risen to the occasion. A true rock 'n' roll vibe is entirely evident on 'Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea'"
9/10 stars
