Aaron Thomas parece tener un bolsillo mágico del que saca las canciones, un recoveco más allá del espejo donde brillan al sol las auténticas gemas del pop. Aaron ha pasado mucho tiempo sentado tranquilamente en ese rincón donde Elvis Costello oye voces y Tom Waits recoge herrumbre para su tiovivo. Ha visto las huellas en la hierba: los Beatles estuvieron ahí, sí, pero también los Buckley (Tim y Jeff), Dylan, Bowie, Jacques Brel, Camille, Radiohead o Wilco. Aaron acaba de regresar de ese lado del espejo y lo que de allí recuerda nos lo regala en forma de disco, ayudado por el infalible instinto de Julio de la Rosa como productor, la batería de Jorge Fuertes (doss, Pleasure Fuckers, nudozurdo etc..), el contrabajo de Javier Díez-Ena (Dead Capo, Insecto, Ainara Legardon etc..) y los coros de Rebecca Lander (The Knot, Roman Lieske, Alek Stark, etc.).

Lo que para otros grupos significa el hit para Aaron es una canción más de su repertorio. Él no imposta, no pretende revolucionar nada, sencillamente hace lo que mejor sabe hacer y lo que hace mejor que nadie (o casi): simplemente canciones; fieras o reposadas, pero siempre redondas y sugerentes.

Aaron Thomas seems to pull songs out of a hat like a magician and hold the key to that hidden place beyond the looking glass, where the real gems of music shine. Aaron has spent a long time in that place, sat quietly in the same corner where Elvis Costello hears voices and Tom Waits gathers rust for his carousel. He has traced the footprints of the Beatles, the Buckley's (Tim and Jeff), Dylan, Bowie, Jacques Brel, Camille, Radiohead and Wilco. Aaron has now crossed back through the mirror and brought us a record that charts the memories of his musical journey. He has been ably supported on the way by the flawless instincts of producer Julio de la Rosa, Jorge Fuertes on drums (doss, Pleasure Fuckers, nudozurdo), Javier Díez-Ena, double bass (Dead Capo, Insecto, Ainara Legardon) and Rebecca Lander, backing vocals (The Knot, Roman Lieske, Alek Stark and others).
What would be the hit for any other group is just another song for Aaron. He makes no pretences to be revolutionary, simply does what he knows best and does better than most -- he writes great songs; and whether kick-ass or mellow all are well crafted, stand out tunes.
