DESCRIPTION:
Asher Shasho-Levy a 22 year old Oud player and singer from Los Angeles with Syrian Jewish ancestry presented his ensemble-Aram Soba to Grand Performances on July 8, 2017. Levy who learned the liturgical music of the Syrian Jews from his father and grandparents has been playing the music of the Syrain Jews since he was a child. This is his first opportunity to perform a whole concert of this music.
