After creating a big impact with its initial release, label boss Rob Hawk's "Do it Again", which rocked clubs from LA through Portugal and all the way to the legendary Zouk in Singapore, Dublin's Bad Cake Records keep the momentum up with their next release and it's another dance floor killer; "Kalliba" by James Hannan.

Narrowly missing out on the top prize in a recent global Defected Records producer competition, "Kalliba" was far too hot a track to languish on some hard drive and now combined with an exquisite platter of remixes from some of Ireland's most dynamic producers; it's a release in position to do serious damage at this summer's hottest club nights.

James Hannan's "Kalliba EP" on Bad Cake Records contains a diverse range of musical styles and sounds ensuring there is something there to work every club or DJ set, from minimal groovers to punch the air bass fiends.

Tracks featured include:

Kalliba (original mix): a driving funk filled rhythm with infectious layered melodies that intertwine and dive across each other, coupled that with a lush breakdown and this one is guaranteed to coax those hands into the air.

Citizen Black mix: strips thing back to an irresistible percussive groove that teasingly builds up to complete dance floor seduction.

Rob Hawk mix: lowers the tempo a touch and brings an element of musicality to the affair, adding a sublime bass line which weaves its way among sonar bleeps and oscillating machine talk.

Exploited Local Artist mix: turns up the heat with a barrage of squawks, resonating chimes and incisive synth stabs, ensuring maximum end of the night mayhem.

Swindon based James Hannan has over a decade's experience behind the decks and is currently resident for the globally acclaimed Fierce Angel brand @ Suju in Swindon. His skills behind the decks have taken him into many clubs and festivals in the UK and he has shared the DJ box with a huge array of dance music's leading lights including Pete Tong, Riva Starr, D.Ramirez, Annie Mac, 2ManyDJ's, Erol Alkan, Plump DJ's, Stonebridge, Judge Jules and many more.

After formally studying production techniques under the tutelage of UK DnB don Danny Byrd, James Hannan's skills on the mixing desk now rival his DJ talents, as he deftly displays on "Kalliba". Expect to hear many more top class tunes from this rising talent in the future.

Primed to be a huge tune in a club near you this summer, Bad Cake Records is very proud and excited to present James Hannan "Kalliba EP" with mixes by Citizen Black, Rob Hawk and Exploited Local Artist, available from 19/07/2010 through iTunes, Beatport, Trackitdown and other good download stores.
