James Hannan

In a scene filled with cliches and derivative pop rock, James Hannan stands out against the crowd. His multi-faceted songwriting blurs the boundary of genres and displays his strong influences in jazz, rock, folk, and jam bands. James has been active in the New Jersey music scene for several years, having studied under accomplished jazz guitarist PJ Cotroneo, of the Pjuma Ensemble and playing his original material across the tri-state area with his former band, Every Other Thursday. Under EOT James even gained airplay on WDBK 91.5. After performing with EOT, James has begun finding new ways to express his message and challenge himself and his listeners with dynamic new material. The Still Smooth EP is an example of James far-reaching musical scope including compositions that span such diverse genres as smooth jazz, funk, and alternative rock.
