DESCRIPTION:
I discovered the music by Jacob Groth by watching the long versions of the Millennium Trilogy on SVT Play just some months ago and reading the credits carefully afterwards because I wanted to know who wrote the music. I did not know any of the other music he did before that but Jacob actually claimed in his speach before the show that he wrote "Kan du vissla Johanna?". That made the audience laugh but who actually wrote that ancient melody I don't know. After looking into it it seems there might be 2 songs with the same name? Anyway... I'm into bombastic movie soundtracks (Danny Elfman) and martial industrial / neoclassical so I must thank the Stockholm Cultural Festival for bringing Jacob to town aswell as bringing Apocalyptica last year! This is actually the most bombastic part of the concert but it was also my favourite part so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I wish though that I had recorded something when Jacobs wife sung because her voice was crystal clear and divine.
