I am wrestling You tonight.
I won't give up the fight, no.
I am fighting on my knees,
God please come and answer me.

Can you hear me this night?
Do you see each tear I cry?
And I am waiting patiently
for You to rescue me…

You are the One who calmed the ocean; told the winds to die down.
You're the One who quiets my heart when peace cannot be found.
And You are the One my soul longs for when I cannot understand.
You are faithful when I'm struggling to trust Your Sovereign plan.

You've promised You'd be near.
That you’d calm my every fear;
And I am waiting for You, Lord,
in accordance with Your Word.

I will hold on tight to You.
You said You would see me through.
In this place of emptiness,
be my comfort; be my rest!

You are the One who holds my heart, Who formed my every inward part.
And I ask that You’d be with me in this place, so cold and dark
Come, leave me not in this valley, cause the shadows to flee!
Give me strength for this burden, that Your grace may be seen in me.

You're the One who can change my name;
turn to joy my deepest shame;
turn my empty, broken past
into something that will last!
