Originally covered by Canadian recording artist, Paul Manchin, I sorta high-jacked his version. I met Paul on a booking for The Artist Forum where he, MJ White and myself were the featured guests for a taping at Club Float (NYC) for their cable show back in the 90's. When I was recording my album "Proud Mary" I made a bold decision to add my vocals and an intro to his version. Fortunately, he took it as a compliment and we have been friends for years.

This cover of the classic song first recorded in 1928 by Helen Kane and later made famous by Marilyn Monroe in the campy film Some Like It Hot starring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.
