22 year old Indian Fingerstyle guitar player, singer-songwriter and performer, born and brought up in a small town Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh started his musical journey at the young age of 5. From the very beginning he had an affinity towards sound and music which later led him to pick up the guitar as his main instrument. His influences include a wide range of genres from metal, rock, folk, pop, punk, alternative, indie, jazz to country. Although he played in numerous metal and rock bands for the initial part of his career, his heart was closer to the acoustic guitar.

He started playing fingerstyle guitar at the age of 18. Known for his percussive guitar chops Chake has also taken names for his unique vocals and songwriting style. A lot of his music is inspired by the sounds of the nature and his personal experiences.

In a short period of 4 years, Chake was able to build a unique style which was quickly noticed by the people at North East Festival 2012 and All India Fingerstyle Competition 2014, who acknowledged him as one of the best songwriters and fingerstyle guitar players in India.

Unique guitar playing with some enchanting lyrics and vocal lines is how one can describe Taba Chake’s music.
