DESCRIPTION:
Kinna Sohna is one of the greatest hits of the true legend of qawwali singing, Nusrat Ali Fateh Khan, the most extraordinary figure among the contemporary vocalists of the East. In this composition we shall hear a combination of traditional instruments and rhythms from both continents, and the voice of an extremely charismatic Sufi singer coming from Calcutta – Anandita Basu. The typically qawwali expression and improvisation are supported with the harmonic texture of the guitars playing in the style of rumba flamenco, so popular today all over the world.
