DESCRIPTION:
AWAKENING, the photo montage of actress Windy West from RITUAL taken at Waldheim Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois during RITUAL's promotional tour in 2011.

While promoting RITUAL at the 2011 Chicago International Horror Film Festival, we came across a late 19th century cemetery: Waldheim. On the day of the festival's awards presentation, for which Windy West was nominated Best Actress, we stopped in to make use of Windy's outfits.

This gorgeous cemetery was a superb backdrop for RITUAL's promo shots, however the weather was atrocious: it rained like crazy! In fact, we had to buy an umbrella on the way there.

So with Greg Bronson as my assistant, and hopes for a break in the weather, we set off for the shoot. As luck would have it, the rain slowed just enough for us. But take notice, the raindrops on Windy's umbrella are real.

By the end of the shoot, we had all the sun we wanted, and we were searching out shade. You'll see those shots with Windy in her red dress.
