Hi, my faithful Sony camcorder has gone wrong so i have had to use the older panasonic one which tends to glitch & pixielate more and it cant seem to pick up the bass of the baya so well so apologies for the baya sounding like wet plywood ! anyway the sound isnt so much important here as its not a performance, mind you there are so many so called tabla lessons on youtube that show you nothing & just seem to be the players trying to show themselves off wwith a couple of things they have learned . Anyways i just tried to give something worthwhile here for practice but wow to teach properly takes time so sorry its a bit long but just watch & learn what you want..............
Here is the basic Bol for you to practice :-

Play above three times over , so thats Dha-ge- Na-dha- Terekete Dhi-na- which is 4 beats ONCE ! followed by the phrase in the brackets (Ge-na- Dha-ge- Tu-na- Ka-ta- Dha--- 1 gap ) which is 6 beats played THREE times and that whole sequence is played 3 times across teental - In Vilambit it would equate to three phrases of 11 beats making 33 to come back on the sum over 2 cycles of vilambit slow teental . When i explain the triplet or the process of half then triple then double its not necessarily accurate but just to demonstarte the feel but i play it accurately with the lahara box at the end. and remember i dont put much planning into this and just sit like i was giving a lesson (although i dont teach) but like there was someone in front of me so its warts & all ok.
