As the co-owner of The Matrix club and as Bill Graham's right-hand man at the Fillmore West, Gary experienced things at 20 that most of us will never experience in our lifetime: producing a record with the great Grace Slick and her Great Society, hosting bands such as The Grateful Dead and Big Brother and The Holding Company with Janis Joplin, producing a Presidential Campaign Rally for George McGovern in 1972.
