Hailing from South Central Los Angeles, Grown Mo isn't your typical 24-year-old rapper/actor; he's also trying to create an entertainment empire.



Grown Mo first started rapping in elementary school, but became serious about his craft during high school where he battled other rappers to be the best MC in his school and then neighborhood. He has worked closely with producers such as Brian "Deep H2OZ" Watters (Mac Dre, Too Short, Turf Talk, Clyde Carson) to create catchy songs with a unique story and sound. Check out his first mixtape So Serious Vol.1, and So Serious Vol.2, a classic.



Grown Mo's introduction to acting came in his high school drama class. He found that acting was the perfect compliment to music. He was discovered by Michael Greene & Associates and soon found himself at different auditions throughout the city. He has landed many commercials (Nike, Reebok, Adidas) and has had many guest starring roles (NYPD Blue, CSI, ER, Cold Case). Recently, he starred with the Rock in Gridiron Gang (Sony/Columbia Pictures), which opened 1 in America on September 15, 2006.



Grown Mo is not just an artist; he is also a business man. He has started his own record label (Trojan Horse) with Deep H2OZ, Prophet, Six Reasons and Teruo Artistry, and has begun producing and writing his own films. In 2007, he produced two short films and is attached to various feature film projects for 2008.



In addition, Grown Mo is determined to create opportunities not only for himself but for other people as well. He has throughout his career pursued programs for his community to use his talents to give others a chance.
