Torsten is a big fan of Roger Taylor from Queen and Jeff Porcaro from Toto. He also loves Marky Ramone from The Ramones.

In the moment he works with his own band SKYWALK, a lovely group playing contemporary own stuff, influenced by all styles of groove-music specialy black RnB, Soul, Hip Hop, Reggae, Raga, Funk .....

Further he works with Punk-Rock-n-Roll - legend- Strassenjungs - for 20 years or more. He is sold on this band.

Last year he also joined the backing band of Dagmar Lay D., a female Country-Pop-Singer popular in Germany.

In this video Torsten Dechi Dechert just jams to the DJ of discotheque Living, Frankfurt.

He uses a Pearl drumset which he bought from Mark Collazo for one Dollar or two.

Nice crash-cymbals come from Armony of Turkey. The ride and the hihat-cymbals are made by Paiste. The ride-cymbal is a Sound-Creation Dark Ride by Paiste. Hihat-cymbals are a combination of a Formular 602 Fast Hihat on the top and a Sound-Creation Dark Hihat on the bottom. Both made by Paiste.

The china is a Zildjian Fast Boy or something...

The cymbals Torsten bought from Cream-Music, Frankfurt, Germany.

Torsten is also lucky to be supported by Bluelines Backline Rental: first Wolfgang Fehl and Mingo Siewert.

The 2nd snare is a Gretsch 8' - the poison - which he borrowed by Ricardo Michakski

Torsten loves to play big-size cymbals even 18' or more.

For studio-recordings he mostly uses a Drumset Force 3000 from Sonor which was special build for him in 1992. Sizes of toms: 8 / 12 , 9 / 13, which were never built in series. They do this lovely aggressive tom sound on recordings, he appreciates.
