DESCRIPTION:
At 10:45pm sharp, with the city firefighters' assistance, the Casino hall will be transformed into a trap set to capture the cinema's lights and its spectators. Entrapped in the room's darkness and thick smoke, the beams of light from the four spotlights will demand everyone's attention. The focus shifts from the image on the screen to the sculptures of light crafted by Pope, former member of London audiovisual artists groupe Loophole Cinema, and members of the Cellule d'Intervention Metamkine (see thursday program, p. 21).
