On May 20th, 2013 Brooklyn based, 15 piece Space Funk big band The MK Groove Orchestra performed one of the final concerts at the iconic Williamsburg loft space Studio BPM NYC.....

This video captures the band performing Jamband Sweet Pt. 1, a set piece in the band's repertoire since MK wrote it in his South Williamsburg loft (right around the corner from the now defunct Studio BPM) in 2002 or 2003. A funky number inspired by The J.B.'s Tito Puento and believe it or not somehow Squarepusher, the piece is the first of two Jamband Sweet's written at the time and intended to feature three soloists while hopefully getting the crowd moving a little bit.

Originally recorded on our Eponymous first album from 2004 which was eventually released in Japan on P-Vine through an incredible series of seemingly interconnected events....we submit to you humbly, this live version, recorded roughly 10 years later at the same venue where we most likely debuted it for your listening pleasure.

Thanks for listening and we sincerely hope you enjoy!
