Gary Crosby + Nathaniel Facey celebrate with Coleridge Goode + Peter Ind - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 16, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
On 6 August 2012, double bassist, Gary Crosby and alto saxophonist Nathaniel Facey
paid a visit to the home of legendary double bassist, Coleridge Goode -- the last surviving member of the equally legendary Joe Harriott Quintet -- to mark 50 years of Jamaican Independence.

Also at the house was Gary's teacher and another bass legend, Peter Ind.

At the end of a wonderful afternoon, Gary and Nathaniel felt inspired to play. Here they are playing the 1936 jazz standard, 'There Is No Greater Love' by Isham Jones.

Massive apologies for the portrait format and the occasional wobble. It was just such a magical experience being in the room with Coleridge, Peter, Gary and Nat, and so beautiful to see these two living legends casting an approving eye over the comparative 'freshers', that all thoughts as to which way round to hold the iPhone went completely out of the window! Hopefully the lack of cinematography skills won't detract from the music and vibe!
