DESCRIPTION:
An animation made with Stable Diffusion/Automatic1111/Deforum.

The song is La maison où j'ai grandi (The house I grew up in), by Françoise Hardy. It's about the loss of a childhood home: A girl that grows up and moves to the big city; to travel the world, then returns to find her childhood home, where she played with her friends ..only to find it gone:

"Time passes and here I am again,
searching in vain for the house I loved.
Where are the stones, where are the roses,
all of the things I held dear?
Of them and of me, no trace remains.
Other people, other houses have stolen their place.
There, where the trees live, now the city is there
and the house, where is the house where I grew up?"

So yeah, great song.

Visually I started off trying to align the imagery with the lyrics but after a while I admit I kinda gave up on that. A lot of French artists referenced in the prompts and some non-French artists. Err.. Matisse, Manet, Monet, Toulouse Lautrec.. Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt... I wont list them all.

Yep Stable Diffusion sure likes to throw Eiffel towers around whenever you try to generate images in Paris..

I showed this to the Filmonik crowd in Melbourne the other day and I think they liked it. So I thought I'd put it up here.

(Obviously the music is copyright to.. Sony? I think they just claim it or something? Never actually uploaded anything with copyright music before so.. *crosses fingers*).
