Da Found Souls Fam hail from Gloucester and their raw energy and impassioned vocals are a breath of fresh air. Right from the off we're introduced to some varied vocal flows and rhyme schemes as the Fam "spit fire" for Jesus. Beats are varied across the album with a good mix of different flavas. These generally grow in maturity as we journey through it. In "The Account" we hear accounts of their journey towards Christ and the security found in his arms. "My Pain" brings a downtempo track with a Mary J Blige vibe, with Precious J showcasing her great voice and soulful singing. Da Fam confront some real spiritual issues such as "Through The Valley" and "My Pain" about the corporate and personal pain in this world. "Through The Valley" especially works as it rings out like a modern day Psalm or R&B version of Redman's "Blessed Be", "I'll praise you through my struggles, I'll praise you through my pain." Standout track that I'm feeling is "He Cares" which is a beautiful mix of rap and soulful vocals pointing that "Jesus cares for you." The Fam are now on a temporary break as they further their studies across the UK. "This is not the end," we are assured. "It's just the beginning."
