From freestyle circles, to makeshift bedroom studios, to stages across the U.K, Europe and beyond…The 29th Chapter have been on a journey. This is a journey that has taken four young men from the realms of relative hip-hop obscurity to the brink of international acclaim. In a music industry filled with one hit wonders, superficial thug rap and commercialised copy-cats The 29th chapter distinctly set themselves apart in their sound, their purpose and their individuality. Just as likely to be seen in a high school speaking frankly with a room full of young people as they are blowing up a stage in front of thousands of fans, The 29th Chapter are hip-hop's bright new hope. As one critic aptly stated "The 29th Chapter are creating a positive hip-hop culture which at the moment seems defined more by what they're not as much as what they are."

Never afraid to express themselves The 29th Chapter have built a large, faithful and eclectic fan base through their explosive live performances, artistic integrity, and unwillingness to bend and conform to the latest hip hop trends. Their music see's them tackling a wide range of themes and issues that examine anything from life and relationships to struggle and hope. And see's each member of this unconventional four-piece bringing to the table their own unique presence, style, perspective and wit. Their disarming authenticity coupled with their trademark sound see's the 29th Chapter connecting with audiences of all musical tastes and backgrounds across the globe. "If you're looking for quality hip-hop from across the pond, then this is where it's at; 29th Chapter delivers and deliver hard!" (US Review, Sphere of Hip Hop)

Step to the mic Ghanaian born Mr Prince, who spits with a charismatic confidence and an often crazy, captivating and yet poignant flow. Pass the mic to Sri-Lankan West-Indian Navigator who brings a strong and dynamic rhyme style to the mix, showing his years of experience, with classic 29 taglines that stick in the memory. Change up the flow to Argentinean-English rapper/producer Phonetix who brings the edge, with bold statements that challenge the listener and beat production that reveals his innate musical gifting. The 29 puzzle is made complete with Northern Irish emcee, McGladius, who philosophically questions the listener and challenges the status quo with his unconventional poetic delivery.

Only a few years ago hip-hop artist Nas boldly declared "Hip-hop is dead". Fast-forward to 2009 and dropping their sophomore album "Louder" The 29th Chapter are officially declaring that hip hop is again alive and well. It would not be mere hyperbole too to suggest that these four young men might be hip-hop's saving grace. If the heat omitting from their latest full-length offering is anything to go by then meet hip-hop's bright new hope…The 29th Chapter.
