Fool's Crown

Formed in the fall of 2003, Fool’s Crown came together with a mission to bring back that time when metal and hardcore weren’t afraid to dance. No bull, no filler and no trends. Fool’s Crown plays aggressive, explosive, groove oriented American crossover.



Fool’s Crown began when guitarist, Laura Miller, and drummer, Matt Miller, decided to pursue their love of metal and start a new band that did not attempt to be the “flavor of the week”. Upon the recommendation of a friend, they sought out bassist Jim Swanson and they were on their way. Vocalist Keith Lucas joined the band in 2006 and sang on their first CD, Up The Antics which was released in January 2007. In October 2007, Z., joined forces with Fool’s Crown taking over the lead/rhythm guitar duties.



Laura (de Brier) Miller, guitarist, has been playing in bands since she was 16 years old, She has been the main writing force in Fool’s Crown. Laura writes aggressive guitar riffs with some fast picking while still bringing the Roosevelt Franklin school of groove to each song.



Matt Miller, a relative newcomer to drumming, kicks out the double-bass thunder while retaining the ability to lock in with the bass. The result is a heavy, solid rhythm section with a distinct style of his own



Jim Swanson, bassist, lays down the low end rumble that can be felt in the nether regions and beyond. Jim's knack for vocal melodies, arrangement and bass fretwork adds beef to the FC sound.



Keith Lucas, vocalist, adds raw energy and pure excitement to the live show as well as the studio. His ability to combine vocal melody, brute force screams and low end growls make him one of the most unique and well respected metal vocalists in all of Central Ohio.



The newest member of Fool's Crown is Chris O'Dee. Chris and Laura became friends when a mutual friend introduced them because Laura wanted a new place to have quality work done on her guitars. They quickly hit it off, started jamming together and decided that Chris would be a perfect fit for Fool's Crown. Chris plays tight rhythm, tasty leads and has an ear for appropriate harmonies.
