The Flame Lily burns no more,

Thy flame has been put out

Thy petals have been crushed under foot,
By a tyrant who brings only hurt.
But one day thou shalt come back to stay

May thy seeds take firm root,
May they grow without need for alert.
And be watered without bloody fray,

May thy flower rise from the root,
May again Liberty's rights assert.
