DESCRIPTION:
This is a film made of the concert performance of Motion by Fiona Rutherford at the 2014 Edinburgh International Harp Festival. This new commission was supported by Creative Scotland and created in partnership with Drake Music Scotland. It featured Amy Moar and Rhona Smith in solo roles, both Amy and Rhona are musicians with disabilities who have a wide range of experience performing music. Motion was the realisation of a dream that Rhona had for many years - to get out of the audience at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival and play on the stage with the Festival Orchestra. This piece was played again in August 2014 as part of the Edinburgh International Harp Festival.
