L.A. Woman" is a song by American rock band the Doors. The song is the title track on their 1971 album L.A. Woman, the final album to feature Jim Morrison before his death..
In the song's bridge, Morrison repeats the phrase "Mr. Mojo Risin'," which is an anagram of "Jim Morrison".
The song was recorded at The Doors Workshop on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, between December 1970 and January 1971. Morrison recorded his vocal part in the bathroom of the makeshift studio due to the room's natural reverb. Marc Benno was a second guitarist on the session; Jerry Scheff played electric bass guitar.

The song was performed live only twice, on the L.A. Woman tour at State Fair Music Hall, Dallas, TX.on December 11, 1970 and at The Warehouse in New Orleans, Louisiana, on December 12, 1970. This was The Doors' last public performance with Jim Morrison. It was only the second date of the tour, but was also the last, as the tour was cancelled after this concert.

LYRICS
Well, I just got into town about ago
[Well, I digg’d into town ‘bout an hour ago...]
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girl in the Hollywood bungalow

Are you a lucky little lady in the city of light?
Or just another lost angel? ... city of night
City of night, city of night, city of night, woo, c'mon

L.A. woman, L.A. woman
L.A. woman Sunday afternoon

Drive through your suburbs
Into your blues, into your blues, yeah
Into your blue-blue blues
Into your blues, ohh, yeah

I see your hair is burnin'
Hills are filled with fire
If they say I never loved you
You know they are a liar
Drivin' down your freeways
Midnight alleys roam
Cops in cars, the topless bars
Never saw a woman
So alone, so alone
So alone, so alone

Motel, Money, Murder, Madness.
Let's change the mood to glad to sadness.

Mister mojo risin',
Got to keep on risin'
Mister mojo risin', mister mojo risin'
Mojo risin', gotta mojo risin'
Mister mojo risin', gotta keep on risin'
Risin', risin'
Gone risin', risin'
I'm gone risin', risin'
I gotta risin', risin'
Well, risin', risin'
I gotta, wooo, yeah, risin'

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago
[Well, I digg’d into town ‘bout an hour ago...]
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girl in the Hollywood bungalow.

Are you a lucky little lady in the city of light?
Or just another lost angel?... city of night
City of night, city of night, night,
woah, yeah

L.A. woman, L.A. woman…
