I've always wanted to try this song, but so far lacked the courage to sing a song by my icon Etta James, who is absolutely unrivaled as a singer, she who put the blues in R&B and makes the listener wallow in the searing pain of heartbreak in such a real and authentic way like no other singer ever did. (Sorry, Beyoncé, I like you, but...) But wanting to learn to play jazz on my relatively new guitar I picked this song, which means a great deal to me. So here's my humble rendition.
