BAND BIO:
Looking back at the things that I have done so far, from a musical point of view, there aren't many that I haven't tried yet. Anyway, I hope there is much more to come.
I've sung Jazz with every imaginable instrumentation, Funk, House, in the studio or live, from Trip-Hop beats to Drum & Bass sets. I've done Punk with some guys from Switzerland. Also, I've participated in Hip-Hop productions, such as feature parts for the primary rocks in smart and witty German Hip Hop, Main Concept, or for the highly appreciated German crew Blumentopf.
The outcome of this was a solo-album called 'Eskapaden'. Recorded in cooperation with DJ Sepalot, independently produced and distributed by Groove Attack. The German press reacted with great courtesy, fans even more delighted and it proved to have been both a good decision and a step in the right direction.
2004 was a pretty bumpy year in every aspect and lead to some retreat. During that period of time I discovered a liking for westernguitar sound and to bungle around on one. In December 2004 I played a solo-gig for the first time and did coverversions of some of my favourite songs, like Creep from Radiohead, or a three quarter time version of Lovesong from The Cure among others. I guess the live audience - lots of friends and colleagues - were quite astounded in the beginning, the setlist was restricted until the very event) some spectators burst into tears, meanwhile, goose bumps were reported in the set pause, and in the end everyone was singing along.
Therefore highly motivated, two friends and I formed an acoustic-trio named 'To Die For' in summer 05. But due to the fact that the band broke up in April 08, I am going to break new ground, i. a. with Mark Jordan.
Further Plans? Never stop looking beyond the obvious. Always try to explore musical or personal ken of mine.
