I know this song has been done a million times, but I thought I’d try giving my interpretation of this somewhat open ended song. And although I chose this fanmade PV, that was after I wrote my lyrics so don’t try and tie the two together too much haha. Just try and think for yourself, no one is wrong!

Besides the mystery of the song, I really just love its kinda somber darkness that leads into this extreme longing by the end. I wish I could have better figured out a line that better expressed “anyo, anyo” because it’s almost like something you would call to a child to come. Definitely more endearing but, in the end, I always have to sacrifice for the singability. There are always lots of frustrations with lyrics though and I’ll love them either way!

PS. The lines “bad girl”and “blind girl” were of course gender neutral in Japanese, but for my sake I made it female. They can be interchanged though!
