Ven du veynst, veynstu aleyn (Yiddish theater song waltz) When you cry you cry alone - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 16, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
It means, "When you cry, you cry alone." On the sheet music the title is actually "Ven du veynst un ven du lakhst" (When you cry and when you laugh) but I guess people took to calling this song by a more catchy line. It's a lovely waltz. Written by Alex Silberstein and published in 1912. See http://YiddishPennySongs.com and performances: http://janepeppler.com
