DESCRIPTION: I am a musician from Hamilton, Ontrario. I primarily make IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) but I have a new project in which I attempt to redefine the purpose of music as we know it by composing music for animals.
This track [called "March of the Cows"] is one of my compositions [full version available for free download at http://www.myspace.com/enochkrapowski ] ... which is designed specifically to create confidence and belief in cows. Take a look at the footage of when i played it to Grandpa's herd. They show a distinctly positive reaction and seem to behave almost as a collective, sharing thoughts and ideas.
As many of you will know, I do not listen to other people's music, and the notion of collaboration I find repugnent. However, the Japanese percussionists who ultimately guested on March of the Cows initially got in touch after hearing Music for Animals #1 - Henrietta - and expressed that they would be honoured to contribute to future projects. As things turned out, they were the only percussionists in the world capable of playing my complex time signatures so I had little choice.
