Blues versions are popular; the lyrics change from version to version, an early famous recording of 1925 exists by Bessie Smith (1894-1937) and many, from Ray Charles to Eric Clapton have recorded versions of the song. Chord progressions at times also vary and the chord progression in this clip was created by Victor "Elmore" Sánchez, a well known guitarist in the area around Marbella/Malaga, playing in several bands.

Carless love, by the way, is also the name of a rose, introduced in 1955 with pink blend, stripes.
