DESCRIPTION:
Hello, This is Matt from Matthew Morgan and the Lost Brigade. While my band is in the studio recording our album I've decided to start a new experiment. I'm going to share the new songs I'm writing with you as soon as they are created.
Some of these (most of them) are in a very early (probably rough) form. The idea is that I want to form a connection that will, hopefully break down some of the barrier that exists between music lover overburdened by the copious quantities of tunes being thrust at them via media on a daily basis and the struggling songwriter who just wants to be heard and share a moment of creativity.
Frankly, I'm not interested in spending a lot of money to try and convince you to like my music. I'm simply trying to foster a shared experience. That said, I welcome all comments. Be honest, but please be polite. My hope is that some of these songs will make it into a proper studio recording in the near future.
Oh yea...I did release a full-length album called "Red Silhouettes" in 2011. You can listen and download it at http://matthewmorgan.bandcamp.com/album/red-silhouettes
Pay whatever you want for the download, or pay nothing...it's all good!

Lyrics:
Everywhere I go faces seem to know my breath before I speak,
thoughts in silence keep.
They walk the longest mile their place in life to find
and I wonder why it should be so hard.
In the rising tide consumed by the fall
you were not formed with eyes so small.
You have the strongest hands tied to a gentle heart
and you carved your land from a falling star.
Ooo...oo
As the day is long so the night comes on
and it's just a bridge to cross that some of us get lost.
Now we go to bed with all these things unsaid.
It's a limited design that we should live so blind.
As I close my eyes and I try to sleep,
it's where the future hides and the shadows weep.
Despite my best disguise, I'm compelled to realize that I need strong hands.
I need a gentle heart in the morning
