Ingelise Rune (born 1919 in Copenhagen. Died 1965 in Paris), was a very popular Danish swing vocalist between 1937-44. During the German occupation Ingelise Rune was involved in the Danish Resistance, and finally she needed to escape to neutral Sweden in 1944. She continued her career in Sweden, and became soon the "Sweetheart" of the Danish Brigade. The Danish Brigade was established by escaped Danish menbers of the Danish Resistance, and trained in Sweden, ready to march into Denmark, if the Germans started an open fight just before the surrender in WW2. After the Liberation of Denmark on May 4-5th 1945, Ingelise Rune returned to Denmark and continued her career for a short time. 1946 she emmigrated to Paris, and was not longer active.
