Swedish death metal act Among the Debris was formed in the autumn 2007, under the name Distorted Doctrine. They have been writing songs and playing various gigs around Dalarna ever since, using a variety of metal subgenres to charm their audience. Trust the fact that this band has a lot to give. As a matter of fact, they were just in the studio recording a killer EP, A Withering Belief, which will be released in early November (if things go according to plan). They changed their drummer and suddenly they felt a whole new sense of unity (mostly due to 24/7 access to Systembolaget). The feeling that they had evolved alot since the early days combined with sheer difficulties with pronouncing the former band name led to the decision that it was time for a name change, and considering alot of global phenomenons and then adding their pure social concern they realized we're living Among the Debris of what used to be our planet, therefore the awesome name.
