DESCRIPTION:
Smitten at first listen, we knew we were painted into a corner-- with blood. There was no further discussion. We needed to cover Zach Knell's "Stand Along." After several weeks of intense analysis, we were able to tear down Zack's intricately layered composition. We stood vindicated. There was blood on our hands, and mirth in your mind. We had arrived at a pure Doubtful Resurrection-esque bassline. From there we soldiered on. Staying true to the original, we wrote soaring melodic lines that shot like lasers into our ears. During the mixing and mastering sessions, infants up and down the block openly wept, unable to mask their recognition of perfection. We wept as well. Strong men also cry. Strong men also cry.
