Dj Valentino

I am a Dj and musician, born in La Spezia which is in NW Italy. I have lived in the UK now for 47 years, first part of the 60s in Notting Hill London and then 25 odd years in Hillingdon, out near Heathrow. Now living in Kintbury a small village near Newbury Berkshire. I have been involved in the music business for 30 odd years. I started in 1972 as a Dj playin clubs pubs and parties. In 1980 I started a sound system called Gorgon Hi-Power and played all round west London and countrywide. In 1991 I strung up the Sound at Notting Hill Carnival and that went down as one of my fave gigs. My record collection is vast and still play out when the gig is right. I also started to write and produce my own music in 1982. I now work closely with Rej at Jahworks studio helping to build some great Roots Reggae music. I play Keyboards, Bass, Melodica and what ever I can lay my hands on. I also sing harmonies with SevenSense which is jahworks in house band, it consists of Steve Swan, Laura Urqhart, and me, each one an artist in they're own right. I am always up for new projects so if you fancy getting in contact, please do. I have been into Bob Marley in a big way over the years and am glad that I managed to see him live when he came to Uk. I have a vast collection of Bob's music and some really rare stuff too. I have a collection of Photos Of Bob and the Wailers from 1972, previously unpublished.
