Bonzai Progressive is proud to present DV1, a special release featuring three top artists and resident DJ's delivering the sounds that bedecked the DV1 club in Lyon, France. The team at DV1 are a tight knit collective who specialise in quality and in creating the ultimate club experience for an army of pure breed clubbers. In recent times the club has had to close its doors, after 15 years of operation hosting some of the very best techno parties in France. The club was built up to become one of the best underground venues in France and no doubt this release will serve as a timely reminder for some of the memories created within its walls. The organisers behind the club night are actively looking for a new venue and there is hope of a new concept called DV1 Outdoor which will hopefully get off the ground in the coming months. To the artists, the DJ's and fans, this is DV1.

D'Jamency - Opto

French DJ and producer D'Jamency debuts on Bonzai Progressive with Opto. This guy brings a wealth of musical experience to the table and over the years he's proven to be at the top of his game with his consistent delivery on the quality front. Coming from the early 90's rave scene, he thrived throughout Europe and Asia in the techno scene. His main focus remains on DJing and plying his trade in front of the discerning clubber. His sets are known for his variation in styles, from deep to minimal and hypnotic techno he always creates an intense and energetic atmosphere. On the production front he boasts an impressive release count on many labels including his own Amazone Records and Among Records. Opto intros with a pounding kick and bass combi that gets us locked on to the superb techno groove it creates for the duration. Bright crispy hats cut through the low frequencies as cool synth stabs come in. The techno simply oozes out of this one and as the layers build we see a solid wall of sound that will rock any floors. A must have for sure.

Jibis - Everyday Is A Surprise

French DJ and producer Jibis debuts on Bonzai Progressive with Everyday Is A Surprise. Jibis started out in music while still studying. He gained his experiences collaborating with other artists and he endeavours to refine a style rich in rhythmic, bewitching sounds. While DJing remains a big part of his artistic journey, it's producing that is closest to his heart. The track intros with a nice chunky kick drum and a classic crispy hi hat combi that is joined by shuffling percussions that get us into a fine flowing rhythm. Big synth stabs get the techno juices running as a deep rumbling bassline is introduced. Cool vocal one shots are placed perfectly in the arrangement and add character to the sound. The perfect late night techno offering to rock the floors.

Jibis - Red Ibis

Jibis' second outing on this release is Red Ibis which intros with a chunky kick drum and cool percussions that set up a flowing rhythm. A deep bassline sits on the low end beautifully as the sounds are layered up including a gritty synth stab that dominates the groove. Rising strings and cool FX come through adding colourful textures as this club stomper powers on. Top notch stuff not to be missed.

Sa.Du - Drome

The very impressive Sa.Du makes a special appearance on this release and brings his experiences as a bona fide Bonzai stalwart to the table. We last got a glimpse of his tasty techno treats on remix duties for A.R.E.S featuring Anna Julia's Sparks Will Fly, which was a slight change in direction as he normally reside on our Bonzai Basiks imprint. But, as always we are treated to only the very best quality sounds and we're sure that this one will turn a few heads. Drome goes dark right from the off as powerful beats are met with eerie voices and a super deep bass. The deepest darkest techno sounds flow out of this one and we are hypnotized by the groove as we get lost in the music. A late night stomper that is a must have in any session for sure.
