Sticks And Stones debut album 'Into The Wild' out NOW on CD and Download...

Aiden Halliday – vocals, acoustic guitar, kick-drum
Angus Bruce – keyboards
Peter Wall – lead guitar

Sticks And Stones are a trio of teenagers from Dumfries in South West Scotland, who describe their music as ‘delicate but dirty folk’. Their debut album, out now on Distilled Records is called Into The Wild.

Sticks And Stones have a sound very much born this side of the Atlantic and in the year of the Scottish referendum, regardless of which side you are on, there is no denying that Sticks And Stones are a raw new voice for Scotland…

Sticks And Stones in the last twelve months have gone from strength to strength as a live act, thrilling audiences at festivals and gigs across Scotland and into England, with their energy, musicianship and fantastic songs. Their live reputation is such now, that they have secured special guests slots with the likes of Fatherson, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Finding Albert, Mano McLaughlin, as well as main-stage festival slots at, Youth Beatz, Eden, and Knockengorroch.

“Very impressed with Sticks and Stones’ performance; Dylan and Springsteen influences from 3 lads still in school? Spellbinding stuff.” Paul Rossington

wiseman

talk to a stranger the other day
he promised me riches
talked to a wiseman hear him say
your doing me wrong, doing me wrong, doing me all wrong

talk to a blind man all he knows
this day is dark and the day is long
and their aiming too close to the target dear
and their fighting too far from the line
all these things that we cling to are just problems in our minds

and the tired look in your eyes says it all
its the look of a soldier before he falls
rest in your bed down below i say rest in your bed and just let go
your revolution ended months ago
your revolution ended months ago

she sits at a table all alone, she cry's into her hands
her legs shake and her ears wait for the voice of that young man
she didn't need to see him but she'll never understand the words that he left
when he left

i'm needed here no more, i've walked with you, i've talked with you my boat is at the sure
i will leave with all your fears but in time will come the tears when you realise
i was your wiseman all a long

and the tired look in your eyes says it all
its the look of a soldier before he falls
rest in your bed down below i say rest in your bed and just let go
your revolution ended months ago
your revolution ended months ago
i am your wiseman
i am your wiseman
