The debut album. While purists largely dismiss Thorogood, I find nothing here but some very good music. This is one album that really is a satisfying listening experience from start to finish.

Thorogood takes the rockabilly classic "Ride on Josephine" and somehow, by slowing it down, infuses it with incredible smoldering energy. And "House Rent Boogie/One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" is alone worth the price of admission.

Poor George has long since jumped the shark, but nothing diminishes the simple beauty of this record.
