DESCRIPTION:
It's been a while so why not come back in style. I figured I'd challenge myself with learning Erecshyrinol (anagram of No Lyrics Here), one of the more beastly bits on Nespithe. I covered Inherited Bowel Levitation with GaryCancer (youtube user) a couple of years ago but I hadn't gone back to Demilich in a while. But I started listening to them again recently, and this song is so twisty and fun that I decided to cover it.

I picked the left side to cover. There are a few parts that are different from the right side but it's largely the same. Obviously I didn't do the solo; it's mostly just a bunch of whammy stuff and this guitar is fixed-bridge. Several hours of decoding the riffs of this song (and I think some of it is still off, but whatever), several more spent trying to learn to play them, then another few spent on the 20+ takes it took to get an acceptable one... suffice it to say it's been an ordeal! But I'm happy in the end that I was able to get it done, though not perfect.

Honestly there are some parts of this song that are as difficult as anything I've ever covered, including Deeds of Flesh and Suffocation. Demilich's penchant for wide-interval string skipping riffs is awesome to listen to but irritating as hell to play! I've made a tab if anyone is interested; it's not complete as of yet and of course it might be off anyway, but it's something to go from if you want to attempt some Demilich. EDIT: this tab is now long lost, sorry :(

Guitar is a Washburn WG-587 with a Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat in the bridge. Tuning is A-D-G-C-E-A-D (A standard with a high A string, although I don't use the high string in this song). Amp is an Axe-FX Ultra with the tone coming from a Soldano SLO100 side by side with a Metalzone, running into JCM2000 and Custom (can't remember) cabinet sims.
