Dear John Letter - Dixie Drifter - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 02, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Released sometime in 1968, the “Dear John Letter” symbolized the epitome of hurt a soldier did receive during the Vietnam War. No wound received in battle could ever measure up to the pain you felt in your heart from losing a girlfriend, who you truly loved, when you read “My love for you is gone”. I saw guys, who received that letter, threw themselves into the thick of battle only to be killed. No Vietnam Vet will ever admit to them getting a “Dear John Letter” unless you saw them break down after reading it. YES, THE DEAR JOHN LETTER WAS REAL!!!
