DESCRIPTION:
I'm so glad that I got to meet this master of the guitar, in Myrtle Beach, 2011. He was singing with Al Jardine (another original Beach Boy, of course), Dean Torrence (Jan & Dean) and the Surf City Allstars Band.

Dave Marks, as you may know by now, is an original member of the Beach Boy. He joined the group when he was only 13 years old, in the early 60's and left four albums later.

He also had many other bands, the most known one is the interesting and curious The Marksmen. By the way, Food Fair is from their second single.

He lived many years as a crazy troublemaker, drunk and lost, but now he's found himself again. He's happy, sober, well-married to the lovely Carrie Haight, doing great music and as you can see in this video, he's such a nice guy.

Ah, if you still haven't you should read the book, "The Lost Beach Boy" by him and Jon Stebbins. And I guess you'll be surprised to find out he's a great musician and has nothing to do with that Dave "I hate you Murry" Marks from the movie Beach Boys: An American Family. I totally recommend.
