The Family Name - Dave Gunning - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 13, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
On a sunny afternoon in June, we travelled to Pictou, Nova Scotia to visit Dave Gunning in his hometown. We went through the Hector Heritage Quay, where one of the the first significant migration of Scottish settlers to the region occurred.

Dave Gunning is a staple of east coast folk music, and for this video we stood on the deck of the Hector. The environment is fitting, the song 'The Family Name' tells of the troubles of those first migrants who arrived aboard this very ship.
