DESCRIPTION:
On a sunny afternoon in June, we travelled to Pictou, Nova Scotia to visit Dave Gunning in his hometown. We went through the Hector Heritage Quay, where one of the the first significant migration of Scottish settlers to the region occurred.

Dave Gunning is a staple of east coast folk music, and for this video we went inside the workshop at Hector Heritage Quay, where he performed his song 'These Hands'. The song is a call-to-action reminiscent of the works of traditional folk-music heroes, and it won Dave Gunning and co-writer George Canyon numerous songwriting awards from across the continent, including first place in The Great American Song Contest, and a number of East Coast Music Awards!
